Lattice Terms of Service
Version: 2026-10-22 Effective date: 22 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Lattice Holdings LLC, a limited liability company ("Lattice", "we", "us"), with its address at 1118 Thompson Road, Alabaster, AL 35007. They cover your use of Lattice Personal: a personal account with online document, spreadsheet, presentation and file storage, and the sign-in and website that go with it (the "Service").
If your employer or school gives you a Lattice business account, the agreement with them governs that account, not these terms.
By creating an account, or by ticking the box that says you agree, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
2. Who can use the Service
Lattice Personal is currently offered only to people in the United States. Before we offer it in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or elsewhere, we will update these terms and the Privacy Notice.
You must be at least 18 years old. We may ask you to confirm your age again, and we may close an account if we learn the person using it is below the minimum age.
You must not use the Service if you have previously been removed from it for a serious breach of these terms, unless we agree in writing.
3. Your account
- Give us a real email address that you can read. We send a one-time code to it to prove it is yours before any account exists.
- Keep your password and any authenticator codes or recovery codes private. Do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under it until you tell us it has been compromised.
- Tell us at security@latticesuite.io as soon as you think someone else has access.
- You are asked to choose a password that is not commonly used and is not built from your name or email address. We turn some choices away for that reason.
4. Your content
You own it. Documents, spreadsheets, presentations, files and anything else you put into the Service ("Your Content") remain yours. We do not claim ownership.
What we may do with it. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you: for example to save versions, show it back to you, create backups and export it. We do not use Your Content to train AI models or to show you advertising.
Versions and backups. We keep recent versions of your files so you can recover from mistakes, and we keep backups of the service for disaster recovery. A deleted file may remain in backups for up to 35 days before it is gone.
Limits. To keep the Service fair and reliable we limit the size and number of things you can store, for example the size of a document, the number of sheets in a workbook and the number of slides in a deck. Current limits: the free plan includes 5 GB of storage and Lattice Personal includes 100 GB; a document can be up to 1 MiB, a spreadsheet workbook up to 2 MiB and 10 sheets, and a slide deck up to 2 MiB and 100 slides. We may change limits with notice.
5. What you must not do
Do not use the Service to:
- break the law, or store or share content that is illegal where you live or where we operate;
- store or share content that sexually exploits children. We will report it to the authorities;
- harass, threaten or defraud anyone, or to send spam;
- spread malware, or attack, probe or overload the Service or other people's systems;
- try to get around limits, sign-up checks or security controls, or create accounts in bulk or by automated means without our written permission;
- access another person's account or data, or impersonate anyone;
- resell the Service or let others use your account;
- infringe someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
6. Suspension and ending the relationship
By you. You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and have your content removed, write to privacy@latticesuite.io from the email address on the account. We will confirm the request with you and then close the account and remove your content as described in the Privacy Notice. Before you leave you can export your documents from the editors, or ask us at the same address for a copy of your files and account data.
By us. We may suspend or close an account, with a reason where we can give one, if you breach these terms, if we must by law, if the account looks compromised, or if it is being used to attack or abuse the Service. Suspension stops sign-in and active sessions immediately; your content is not deleted by suspension itself. We will restore access if we find the suspension was wrong. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@latticesuite.io within 30 days and a person will review it and reply within 14 days.
What survives. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, disputes) continue after the account ends.
7. Changes to the Service and to these terms
We improve and change the Service and may add, change or remove features. If a change is material and harms you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service where we reasonably can. Notice of a renewal is separate and is covered in section 8.
We may update these terms. If an update is material we will tell you and ask you to agree again before you continue. Using the Service after the effective date of a non-material update means you accept it.
8. Fees
Lattice Personal is free to use. We may also offer paid options, such as extra storage or additional features, on a monthly or an annual plan. The price, what the plan includes and the billing period are shown to you before you pay, and you are charged only after you choose a paid option and confirm it.
Renewal. A paid plan renews automatically for another period of the same length at the then-current price until you cancel. We will remind you by email before it renews: at least 24 hours before a monthly plan renews and at least 14 days before an annual plan renews. The reminder states the price and how to cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel a paid plan at any time in the same place you started it, or by writing to support@latticesuite.io. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the paid features until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling a paid plan does not close your free account.
Price changes. If we change the price of a paid plan, we will tell you before your next renewal, and the change applies only if you let it renew.
Refunds.
- First purchase. If you buy a paid plan and change your mind, write to support@latticesuite.io within 14 days of the first charge and we will refund it in full.
- Renewals. If a plan renews and you did not want it to, write to us within 7 days of the charge and we will refund that renewal in full, as long as you have not used the extra features it paid for beyond what the free plan includes.
- Otherwise. We do not refund part of a period that has already started, for example when you cancel halfway through a month, except where the law gives you a right to one or where we end your paid plan without a reason that is your fault, in which case we refund the unused part.
- How. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, normally within 10 business days. Where the law gives you a right to cancel and be refunded, for example the 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract in the EU and UK, that right is not limited by these terms (see section 17).
Payments are handled by Stripe, Inc., which acts as the seller of record for payments, collects and remits any sales tax or similar tax that applies, and sends you the receipt. The price shown before you pay does not include tax; any tax is added and shown at checkout before you confirm. We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
9. Availability
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. There may be maintenance, outages, and limits on use.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of anything important: the Service is not a substitute for your own backups. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers; where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows, and section 17 explains what that means for you.
11. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any liability to you that applicable consumer law does not allow us to limit (see section 17).
12. Responsibility for Your Content
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to put it into the Service. If we are notified that content is unlawful or breaches these terms, we may remove it or restrict access to it. These terms do not ask you to compensate us for our losses.
13. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service, its software and our brand belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as these terms allow. If you give us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
14. Copyright complaints
If you believe content in the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to abuse@latticesuite.io, with the details required by 17 U.S.C. section 512(c)(3). We will review notices and may remove content and close repeat infringers' accounts.
15. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Shelby County, Alabama have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in your local courts if the law of your country gives you that right. These terms do not require arbitration and do not waive any right to bring or join a class or representative action.
16. General
These terms, with our Privacy Notice, are the whole agreement about the Service. If part of them is unenforceable the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or rights without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, sale or reorganisation with notice to you.
17. If you live in the EU, the UK, California or another region with consumer rights
You may live somewhere whose law gives consumers rights that cannot be removed by a contract. Where that is so, these terms do not take those rights away, and if any term would, it applies only as far as your local law allows.
European Union and United Kingdom.
- Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including any right to a service that is provided with reasonable care and skill, and any right that the law does not let us exclude or limit.
- You may bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and the mandatory consumer law of that country continues to apply to you in addition to Alabama law.
- If you buy a paid plan, you generally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to withdraw without giving a reason. To withdraw, write to support@latticesuite.io. If you ask us to start the service during that period, you may have to pay for the part already provided. Where the law requires it, we will refund payments within 14 days of your withdrawal.
- We may make changes to these terms only as these terms and your local law allow, and we will tell you beforehand as described in section 7.
- Our processing of your personal data, your rights over it, and how to complain to a supervisory authority are described in the Privacy Notice.
- The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is no longer available. If you want to raise a complaint, write to us first at support@latticesuite.io; you can also contact your local consumer authority.
California.
- If you are a California resident, you have the rights in the "Your California rights" part of the Privacy Notice.
- If you buy a paid plan that renews automatically, California law requires clear disclosure of the renewal terms, your consent to them, and an easy way to cancel. Section 8 describes how renewal and cancellation work; you can cancel online or by email, and we will confirm a cancellation by email.
- California Civil Code section 1789.3 notice: complaints about the Service may be sent to Lattice Holdings LLC at the address in section 18, or to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.
Elsewhere. If another region's law gives you consumer rights that we have not listed, those rights apply to you.
